Monday, October 20th.

This week we have two college reps visiting:  Amanda from Western Michigan University on Thursday, October 23rd at 2 pm and a rep from Lourdes University on Friday, October 24th at 8 am.  Western is offering a “Gold Rush” service whereby if you submit your application, transcript, and ACT scores along with the application fee on Thursday, you will find out in 48 hours if you’ve been admitted. Please let Mrs. Cheney know ahead of time if you want to do this.  Sign up for both colleges is in the counseling office.

The junior high volleyball team took 2nd place at the LCAA Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.  The team went 2-1 on the day defeating both Ida and Hillsdale and eventually losing to tournament winner Dundee.  Stop by the Junior High Trophy Case to see the new addition.

The team is now 10-4-2 on the season with our final match on Wednesday in Sand Creek.  Coach Clark and Coach Hoard are very proud of all this team has accomplished.  Let’s finish strong.

On Saturday the boys cross country team placed second at the LCAA championship meet.  The boys have been running second all year, but managed to move six points closer to first place Dundee.  Everyone ran well in spite of a very tough course.  Josh Heisten had the lone PR, taking a few seconds off of his previous best.

Attention 6th grade boys,
Sign-ups for boys’ basketball are tonight in the high school gym, cost per student is $40.00.  If interested, you can pick up a sign-up sheet in the office.
