Monday, March 2nd

There will be a softball meeting today in Senora Hoard’s room at 12:00.  If you are interested in playing softball, please make plans to attend.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Beal
 
There will be a high school girl’s track meeting today at 12:15 in Mr. Romanowski’s room.  Anyone who is interested in track or wants to know more about it should attend.
 
There will be a baseball meeting on tomorrow, March 3rd, in Senora Hoard’s room during high school lunch. Bring your lunch and hustle to the meeting ASAP. If you have any questions see Coach Allman.
 
Juniors, tomorrow is the ACT! Please get a good night’s sleep tonight and be at school no later than 830 am (8 if you want breakfast).
 
The Hudson Middle School Science Olympiad Team traveled to Allendale this weekend and our two teams placed 4th and 11th out of 26 teams.  Outstanding performances were turned in by Lyndsey Tanner and Alexis Ballachino in Wheeled Vehicle, Green Generation and Crimebusters, Will Stiverson, Trey Romanowski and Nathan Williams in Picture This, Mya Shirey and Alexis LaFollette in Crave the Wave, Aiden Evans and Brad Hayes in Fossils, Evelyn Calvo and Alexis LaFollette in Meteorology and Lyndsey Olson and Jenna Johnston in Write it Do it.
 
Ribbons were awarded to Jenna Johnston and Lyndsey Olson in Anatomy, Erika Grondin and Alexis LaFollette in Bottle Rocket, Evelyn Calvo and Pierce Mitchell in Can’t Judge a Powder, Evelyn Calvo, Aiden Evans and Brad Hayes in Picture This, Nathan Williams and Garrett Dunn in Air Trajectory, and Will Stiverson and Trey Romanowski in Bridge Building.
 
 
Medals were earned by Carson Price and Sukhman Parahar 2nd place in Robo-Cross, David Calvo and Drew Marry 3rd place in Air Trajectory, Aiden Evans and Brad Hayes 3rd place in Simple Machines and 1st place in Robo-Cross, Jenna Johnston and Lyndsey Olson 1st place in Crimebusters, and Celena Frank, Anna Stein and Jill Schutte 1st place in Experimental Design.  Congratulations to everyone!
 
The High School Science Olympiad team also traveled to Allendale this weekend and with only a week’s preparation managed to hold our own in several events.   With 27 teams competing Brie Wilenius and Jocelyn Messer placed 8th in Cell Biology and Chemistry Lab, Zander Stiverson, Ethan Sword and Brie Wilenius placed 11th in experimental design and Jake Morgan earned a 12th place finish in the scrambler.  Thank you to all the students who competed especially those that decided to do an event just for fun.  Two claps for Hudson!
 
Congratulations to the Middle School Wrestling Team who finished 1st this weekend at the MYWAY State Tournament!  6 of the top 10 pinners in the tournament were from Hudson Tucker Sholl, Jordan Hamdan, Carson Price, Gavin Wagner, Jonathan Betz and Spencer Blanco were among the top 10. 

Tuesday, March 3rd

There will be a baseball meeting today in Senora Hoard’s room during high school lunch. Bring your lunch and hustle to the meeting ASAP. If you have any questions see Coach Allman.
 
There will be a sign-up meeting for all high school boys interested in playing golf this spring in Mr. Reed’s room during lunch on Wednesday.
 
Attention students, please don’t go on the stage for any reason during PE class or during lunch
 
Last night the 7th grade ladies defeated the Onsted Wildcats 20-8 modified or 32-10 regular.  The ladies played well as they battled a much taller Onsted team. 
Amber led the team in scoring with 12 points. She was followed by: Borck 7, Marry 5, Loar 4, Walker and Lake 2 each. Valdez and Bleich played well defensively as it was a nice team win.
 
There will be a boy’s track meeting on Thursday, March 5th at 12:00pm in Mr. Romanowski’s room. Bring your lunch and a friend.
 
The 8th grade girls basketball team lost last night. Practice from 3-5 tonight.

Wednesday, March 4th

There will be a sign-up meeting for all high school boys interested in playing golf this spring in Mr. Reed’s room during lunch today.

Thursday, March 5th

There will be a boy’s track meeting on today at 12:00pm in Mr. Romanowski’s room. Bring your lunch and a friend.
 
There will be a meeting today at 12:10 for ALL Wizard of Oz cast and crew.
 
The 7th grade ladies gave their teammate Genevieve Marry an excellent farewell as they avenged an earlier loss and defeated Ida by a modified score of 10-8 or regular score 21-12.  The defensive effort whether it was a man to man, zone, or box in one was incredible.  Scoring for the ladies were Lake 8, Borck 7, Czeisztenger 4, Loar 2. 
 
The 8th grade lady tigers played solid defense and had balanced scoring in their victory over Ida last night. Practice tonight 3-5.
 
There will be a yearbook staff meeting today during lunch.  Please bring your lunch to Mrs. Cunningham’s room.
 
If there are any 9-12 grade boys interested in playing golf, but do not have golf clubs, please see Mr. Reed.
 
Middle School Parents Group will be taking order for St Patrick Day suckers today & Friday during lunch.  Suckers are $1 and will be delivered on Thursday the 12th.
