Monday, May 18th

Attention girls planning to cheer either competitive or sideline next year:
There is a sign-up sheet at the office window.  You can pick up summer
schedules from Mrs. Cunningham.    
 
The Spanish Club is selling TAMALES.  To place your order, please see Sra. Hoard or a Spanish Club Member.
 
Attention all 6th and 7th grade girls planning to play basketball next year, please meet in the boys and girls club at the very beginning of middle school lunch on Wed, May 20th.
 
Today starts Spirit Clubs week of events. During lunch today (12:15ish) is dodge ball in the Middle School gym, if you signed up to play please try to be a couple of minutes early so we can pick teams. Tomorrow will be Volleyball.
 
Attention to anyone who would like to purchase a yearbook.  Extra copies were ordered but there are not very many left, cost is $60. There are 8 that will be sold at a discounted price of $40 – see Mrs. Cunningham for more information.
 
If you already picked up your yearbook – all spring events (Prom, sports, awards, etc.) will be available in the fall in a supplement that goes in the back of your book.  The supplement makes the yearbook 120 pages!  Seniors who do not have theirs picked up by October will have them mailed to the address on your order form. 
 
Hudson Lady Tigers went 2-1 in the Glick Tournament this weekend. Saturday our bats were hot as we ripped 31 hits in 2 games, highlighted by the 2 run walk off homerun by Beekel to secure the mercy against Jackson.

Tuesday, May 19th

Attention all 6th and 7th grade girls planning to play basketball next year, the meeting has changed to Friday @ 11:30 in the boys and girls club.
 
There will be a JV & V boy’s basketball meeting on Friday during lunch for anyone wanting to play basketball next year.
 
Any HS girl interested in golf next year, there will be a meeting Thursday, May 21st @ 12:15.  If you are interested and cannot make it, see Mr. Borton.
 
Any 8th grader interested in playing football next year needs to pick up the summer schedule from Mr. Rychener.
 
There will be a junior high cross country meeting on Thursday at 11:10 in Mrs. Aube’s room for any boy or girl in grades 6-8 that is interested in running cross country next year.  We will be handing out the summer running schedule.
 
There will be a high school girls’ cross country meeting on Thursday at 12:15 in Mr. Romanowski’s room.

Seniors:  Remember that you must pay $10 to receive your senior shirt.  You will not receive your shirt before paying and it will be added to your fees to be paid before receiving your cap and gown.  Please give the money to Mrs. Schoonover.
 
The 9th and 10th graders on the softball team played Homer's JV last night. Atkin had a great night striking out 11 in the 13-7 win. Game two was called at the end of 4 due to thunder.
 
The middle school girls track team completed a successful season last night at the LCAA league meet.  Erika Grondin is a 3-event league champion winning the long jump, 400 and 200 by impressive margins.  Flesia Borck was 3rd in both the long jump and the 3200 run.  Anna finished 5th in the 100 m dash.  The 3200 relay and the 800 relay finished 4th while the 1600 relay took 3rd.  Congratulations girls on a fine season!
 
Yesterday’s dodgeball games both ended with Malik taking on almost the entire other team!  Today is Volleyball and will start about 12:10, if you are a player or a line judge please try to be early.  Tomorrow is Corn hole!  Don’t forget Thursday @ 5 is Staff vs Students softball.  Admission is $1.
 
All new NHS officers (Mariah Walkowicz, Jenna Weatherwax, Ethan Sword and Shanon Ball).  Could you please report to Mr. Webb’s room right after announcements for a quick meeting.  Also senior NHS members, you can pick up your NHS collar for graduation anytime in Mr. Webb’s room this week.  A $20.00 deposit will be required to receive your collar.  It will be refunded to you once the collar is returned after graduation.

Attention Seniors – if you rented a lock from the office for your locker, you may return them this Thursday and Friday for your refund.
 
 
Yesterday’s volleyball game was a blow out led by Paige Darr, Lauren Valdez and Shay McDaniel.  The team led by Miah Hamdan and Michael Prock proved to be quite entertaining.  Special thanks to our line judges Cassee Milligan and Lauren Lake and our referee Courtney Luma.  Today we have corn hole in the middle school gym.  Tomorrow will be the donut eating contest and the staff vs students softball game.  Game time is 5pm and admission is only $1.
Senior shirts will be available in Mrs. Schoonover’s room today at lunch.  If you have paid, or if you have your money you may pick them up.  If not, pay $10 to Mrs. Schoonover by tomorrow or the cost will be added to your fees and fines.  Remember, you may pick up your caps and gowns AFTER all fines are paid.

The Lady Tigers dropped 2 to Dundee last night. Valdez hit two dingers and Beekel had two doubles and a single with 5 RBIs in the 13-15 loss. Game two was not so pretty, as Dundee ran away with the mercy in the 5th.

All high school girls’ track team members, except for those participating in the county meet, must turn in their uniform top by Friday or be charged $50.
